Laptop worth about Rs 10,000 only
May introduced its Canvas Lapbook L1160 product in this segment in the month. It costs Rs 10,499. It is the cheapest laptop of its class with an 11.6 inch display.
We have recently reviewed several budget Windows 10 laptops - RDP Thinkbook, Acer Aspire One Albumbook 11 and more recently the iBall CompBook Exemplier. Almost all of these laptops have the same specifications, the only difference being the build quality and design.
May introduced its Canvas Lapbook L1160 product in this segment in the month. It costs Rs 10,499. It is the cheapest laptop of its class with an 11.6 inch display. Let's try to know that the company has not compromised on performance by reducing the price.
Canvas lapbook l 1160 design and build
The most important feature of an 11.6-inch laptop is its compactness. It weighs only 1.1 kg. After turning it off, we realize that it is extremely thin. The lapbook is made of plastic. We are glad that Lid does not turn.
After seeing the laptop, you will also say that you tried to completely hide the image of it being a budget laptop from your side.
Canvas lapbook l 1160 performance
The Canvas Lapbook L1160 does most of the work properly. It boots up faster and multitasking on it is less difficult than we expected. You will feel the laptop slows down a bit. Whatever work you do, you will realize it every time. Its buttons get slightly hot during use.
The display's selection resolution is 768x1366 pixels, which is slightly lower, but is not too bad for a small screen. Viewing angles are not very good but color reproduction is decent. The laptop handles media files such as 4K video very well. The credit goes to the video decoding engine in the chipset. Above the keyboard are audio speakers that give good sound. Does not sound very loud. But it is suitable for listening to occasional songs and watching videos.
We tried Lapbook's performance data through the BookmarkMark test. But most of the tests are not able to run due to weak specification. It is possible to increase the storage of the laptop through a 64 GB microSD card.
The 4100 mAh battery lasted 5 hours 50 minutes in the PCMark 8 battery test. In normal use, we will be able to use the laptop for 8-9 hours.
Our Decision
The Canvas Lapbook L1160 is a good Windows 10 laptop for Rs 10,499. If you want a laptop of this size, then it would not be wrong to think about your product. If your work is very much related to typing then we would suggest you to buy 14 inch RDP thinkbook.
Despite the average build and lack of USB 3.0 connectivity, the LapBook L1160 is a good option, especially when your budget is extremely low.
