Realme 5s Review
Hello friends welcome to Technomaxlover. Today i am going to deliver Realme 5s Review. Talking about Realme 5s Price in India, its initial price has been fixed at Rs 9,999. This new budget smartphone is sold on Flpkart.
To stay ahead of budget segment, handset manufacturer companies are launching new models. Realme launched its Realme 5 series in August and Realme 5 was the company's budget smartphone. After Reality 5, Vivo has now launched Vivo U10 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 smartphone in the price segment of less than Rs 10,000. Realme has now launched its Realme 5s smartphone in the market. As its name indicates, it is a slightly upgraded avatar of Realme 5.
The biggest change that you simply will get to see with the Realme 5S is 48-megapixel primary camera sensor and the new crystal red color variant. Apart from these two things, Realme 5s smartphone resembles Realme 5. The price of Realme 5 in the market is now Rs 8,999 and the price of Realme 5S is 9,999 rupees. We have seen this new smartphone by testing, so let's start Realme 5s Review ...
Design of realme 5s
The design and features of Realme 5S are similar to Realme 5. The thickness of this new realme phone is 9.3 millimeters, the same diamond-cut pattern has given on the back panel of the phone. The placement of the buttons is good, let us know that on the left side of the phone you will find a triple-slot tray, two nano-SIMs and a separate microSD card slot.
One thing that may disappoint is that the resolution is HD + (1600x720) which is fine for viewing every day but not as sharp as a full-HD + display. Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ Protection has also used on the screen.
The bottom of the Realme 5S has a Micro-USB port, headphone jack and single speaker instead of Type-C. The placement of the camera module is similar to that of Realme 5. Capacitive fingerprint sensor has given for security on the back panel, it works correctly while unlocking the phone.
Face unlock feature has given in Reality 5S, for the information of people, let us know that it works correctly even in low light. Like the Realme 5, you will also get the same accessories with the Realme 5S, including a 10 watt charger and silicone case.
Realme 5s specifications and software
Specifications of Reality 5S are very much similar to Reality 5. This mobiles of Realme brand has used Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor and there are two variants of Realme 5S, its Four GB RAM and 64 GB storage variants are priced at Rs 9,999.
The price of 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variants of Realme 5s is Rs 10,999. Realme phones have dual 4G VoLTE support, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 AC, Bluetooth 5 and similar sensors as the older models.
A 5,000 mAh battery will be available to rejuvenate the Realme 5S but it does not come with fast charging support. The Reality 5S smartphone runs on ColorOs 6.0.1 based on Android Pie. Our review unit runs on the October Security Patch.
Realme X2 Pro (Review) runs on version 6.1 of this UI, this version also has system-wide dark mode and Google digital wellbeing feature. Many apps are already pre-installed in the phone, third-party apps can also be uninstalled. According to the company's roadmap, Realme 5s will get the ColorOS 7 update in May next year. Oppo has recently launched ColorOS 7 in India.
Realme 5s performance and battery life
The Reality 5S is a great phone, even in the pocket and with one hand. The display is quite bright when used outdoors, not only that, even where there is noise, a clear sound is heard from the earpiece. Android ran well and multitasking was also manageable in our experience.
While runing heavy apps, the phone did slow down a bit but for the most part our experience was good. Realme 5s does not get very hot but it is surely hot during gaming. Snapdragon 665 is not the best processor for heavy games but PUBG Mobile works well on low or medium settings, PUBG Mobile Lite is more suited for this phone. Games like Alto's Odyssey did well. Please note that there is no audio enhancement for the speaker.
Like Reality 5, Reality 5S also has a battery of 5,000 mAh but we have seen an increase in our battery loop test runtime. The Realme 5s smartphone lasted for a total of 27 hours and 16 minutes, which is very very impressive. Always Remember that the Reality 5 smartphone was supported for 22 hours. With normal use, the phone can support up to two days.
This smartphone of Realme brand does not support fast charging, nor is the charger found with the phone more powerful. The battery of Reality 5S charged up to 23 percent in half an hour and the phone battery was charged 43 percent in one hour which is not very good.
Realme 5s cameras
Realme 5 was the first smartphone in India to come with four cameras which is less than Rs 10,000. Reality 5S has a 48 megapixel camera sensor instead of 12 megapixels. The camera comes with PDAF support and 10x digital zoom. The other three rear cameras are similar to the Realme 5.
An 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, 2-megapixel depth camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera sensor have been given. There is a 13-megapixel front camera for selfie and video calling, its aperture is F / 2.0. You will be familiar with the camera app, there will be buttons for wide-angle lens, HDR, flash etc. above the viewfinder, while the shooting mode shortcut and shutton button are placed below.
The wide-angle camera can used for video shooting and the nightscape mode also works with it. There is still no option to adjust background blur in portrait mode. Nightscape cannot used to take selfies.
In daytime, the primary camera sensor captures best dynamic range and details compared to Realme 5. Portrait mode handles well with better exposure and skin tone. Good contrast is also seen in close-up shots with good details.
The camera app saves the 12-megapixel image by default, but you can also save a full 48-megapixel picture if you want. As Compared to the primary camera sensor, pictures taken with the wide-angle camera lacked details and colors also did not look right.
The macro camera comes with low resolution but if the light is enough then you can also capture sharp shots. Realme 5 struggles a lot in less light but Realme 5S takes pictures with slightly better white balance and colors.
Nightscape helps in correcting exposure and get better details, but Realme 5s is not always a clear winner. In some cases we preferred shots taken from Realme 5. The selfie taken during the day came with a natural skin tone and perfect detail.
A little work is still needed on portrait mode as the background blur effect is very aggressive. In low light, the selfie camera struggles with the details, as well as a glimpse of noise in the photos. You can also shoot with a wide-angle camera but the quality drops. Video quality was below average even at 1080 resolution in less light.
Our Decision
The Realme 5S smartphone is a very little upgrade version of the company's Realme 5. The new primary camera sensor provides slightly better results in daylight but still struggles in low light in stills and video. To stay in the competition, we feel that more could have been done with Realme 5s. When Realme 5 was launched a few months ago, it was a good phone but now there are also new options like Redmi Note 8 and Vivo U20 in the market, both of which come with high resolution display.Hope you like Realme 5s Review.
